BIOGRAPHY

He was moving in sports world from childhood, and as young gymnasist had trust to nominate himself to Olympic games 1972 in Munich.

But the destiny hit, and in case of hurt during the concentration training had not chance. Immediately he changed seat for his second sports love - motorcycling competitions (enduro), where he was member of the Czech representation for 10 years. He conquered the nomination for the prestige Six Days Enduro early, but the bad luck voted him for member again. He had big accident week before the start, when he went with his colleague to load motorcycles to Jawa to be prepared for transport to longed-for race. On the crossing road lighted green, but lorry crashed into car from the side. The impact of this situation was broken wrist.

During his sporting activities he studied faculty of medicine and after that he followed sporting medicine. He worked as chairman of health board for olympionics. He met Helena Sukova, when she had health troubles. Later he became her conditioner.

Jaromir Jirik took himself to subconsciousness of sports fans in the time, when trained our most successfull tennis-player Helena Sukova and his love to the motorsport compensated by buying a sportscar, and after he became occasional test driver of the world´s famous factory Porsche. The copingstone came by the test of the most sharp special of "nine-one-one", 911 GT1, which was set up to the most famous twenty four hours race in the world at Le Mans. Jaromir Jirik stays on only one Czech which tried this special.

Professional tennis-player is as modern nomad, who changes continents in the fast tempo as socks. It is no wonder, that Mr. Jirik tried a varied marital arts during his foreign ways and in personal leisure. He does not go around the tennis tournaments today, but he attends to health troubles of the sportsmen from various branches, which prepares ourselves for the peak contests. Mr. Jirik trains for example Skoda Motorsport rally drivers, successfull Czech cyclo-cross competitor Martin Bina or motorbike competitor Kamil Prager. In the same time he started with car racing. At the first time he raced with Ford Puma, in the homonymic cup racing. These were years 1999 and 2000. He conquered first place and for the first time raced on the popular Nordschleife within German Beru Top 10 series in the year 2001. For the short time he raced on the Czech endurance series in the class D 4, after that his motorsport activities ran abroad.

Gradually he saddled Renault Clio 2.0, where was his best positions 2nd place in qualify and 4th in race within the Formula 1 Grand Prix at Hockenheim. After that Alfa 147 followed, he had the successfull presentation with this car in German Divinol Cup and in European Cup. In the year 2006 he chose new series called FIA GT3 and with powerful machine Lamborghini tried luck and his racing craft. Effort brought 6th place between 50 cars. Jaromir is engaging in this championship up to the present and his biggest success was second place at Silverstone 2007 with team-mate Erik Janiš. In the year 2009 started with specials Porsche 911 GT3 Cup S and Aston Martin DBRS9 in the overall classification Jaromir was 16th.

Until recently, he was team coach of Skoda Motorsport. He took care about the factory drivers Jan Kopecky and Juho Hanninen. He trained big named racing drivers and sportsmen as Vitantonio Liuzzi, Tomáš Enge or Janis brothers.

Now he is concentrating for Skoda factory drivers too. The cooperation with Jan Kopecky follows and the next driver to care is Swedish Pontus Tidemand. The known person from the Czech circuit racing scene, who is trained by Jaromir is Petr Fulin.

Racing Spirit certainly not to drained out from Jaromir. So he is professionally still participating the circuit racing. He starts in 24h Series after the successful years in GT3 European Championship.
