SECOND PLACE IN MONZA
The three-hour endurance race in Monza closed this year's calendar of the Italian GT Championship. With a fifteen-point gain, Jara Jirik consolidated his third position in the class in the classification of drivers.
In Saturday's qualifying session, the crew with start number 19 managed to gain the second starting position in the class. The race developed dramatically from the beginning, fights with very close distances guaranteed high attractiveness. The lamborghini crew moved in a group of seven cars and managed to avoid crisis situations.
There are many opportunities for mistakes on the track, which is practically composed of long straights ending with chicanes. These cause high losses. Therefore, it is important for the driver to make the stop in the pits as precisely as possible. The crew drivers managed this task. In addition, the weather shuffled the cards at the end of the race, when it started to rain.
Some drivers have chosen a risky tactic to bring the car to the finish line on dry tires and take advantage of the difference of one extra pitstop. Jára Jiřík was waved by checkered flag in second place in the class. Overall, the crew said goodbye to this year's season with third place in the classification of drivers in the class.
Next year, the season starts again in Monza on April 22-24, 2022 as part of the sprint series, the endurance season does not begin until mid-May.
